PLANTING

PROCESS OF TISSUE CULTURE

Tissue culture means cloning and micro-propagation of tissues of the selected Elite plants and daughter suckers. The process consists of five important steps: Initiation, Multiplication, Shooting & rooting, Primary Hardening in green houses and Secondary Hardening in shade houses. Strict adherence to aseptic standards and micro-climatic conditions and care during the hardening process alone can ensure success.

FEATURES AND SPECIFICATION

The crop matures early and Maximum use of low land areas and Planting can be done round the year as seeds are available.

The crop can be harvested twice in a short duration which saves the cost of cultivation and No staggering of harvest and It is strongly recommended to plant tissue culture plants. The plants are healthy, disease free, uniform in size, and authentic. The secondary seedlings should only be planted if they have been hardened properly.
